1. Given that perimeter of a isosceles triangle is 100cm.

Let x be the side of atraingle .

Given that One side is 10 cm greater than its equal sides.

i.e  x + 10 , x , x are the sides of a isosceles triangle.

x + 10 + x + x = 100

3x = 100 -10 = 90

x = 30.

∴ 30 , 30 , 40 are sides of a isosceles triangle.

Area of a traingle = √s( s-a)( s - b)( s - c) .

2s = 100 ⇒ s = 50.

s - a = 50 - 40 = 10

s - b = 50 - 30 = 20

s - c = 50 - 30  = 20.

Area of a traingle = √50 x 10 x 20 x 20 = 20 x 10 x √5 = 200 x 2.23 = 446 cm2
