why are walls of ventrecles thick than atetcles

left ventricle walls are thicker because it has to pump blood to whole body with greater pressure and right ventricle pumps blood to lungs to get oxygenated

Blood is pumped out of heart at higher pressure than that from the chambers of atria. So walls of ventricles are thick than the walls of arteries
