First we need to find the LCM of 4,12 & 6 because they are unlike fractions -

LCM = 12

= 68/12 + 28/12 - 98/6

Now we have to change the numerators because we changed the denominators

= 68 × 3 = 204 (We are multiplying by 3 because 4 × 3 = 12)We will do the same for 6 & 12.)

= 28/12 = 28 × 1 = 28

= 98×2 = 196

⇒ 204 + 28 - 196/12

= 232 - 196 = 36/12 = 3 0/12
