Final answer (A) π/4 +ln (2) /2
Pre-requiste to understand my answer:
1) Integration property :
(Sum of limits -x ) property:
i.e. integration of f(x) with respect to dx with lower limit 0 to upper limit a = integration of f(x) w.r.t dx with lower limit 0 to upper limit (a-x).
2) If f(a) = a ln sec(a) for a belongs to real number then we can replace a with x to make it general function f(x) = x ln sec(x).
3) Trigonometric identities and trigonometric (45°) angles.
4) Differentiation of logarithmic and trigonometric functions . ( particularly f(x) = xln sec(x).
Hope, you understand my writing and it helps you .
