Given:

Mass of block = 2 kg

Force vs Displacement graph has been provided.

To find:

Change in Kinetic Energy of block

Concept:

In this type of questions , its best to apply the Work-energy Theorem. This theorem states that the work done by all the forces on a body is equal to the change in Kinetic energy

Calculation:

We know that work done is calculated from area of Force vs Displacement graph :

work = \Delta(kinetic \: energy)

 =  > \Delta KE = area \: under \: graph

 =  > \Delta KE = area \: of \: triangle

 =  > \Delta KE =  \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height

 =  > \Delta KE =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (10 - 2) \times (6 - 0)

 =  > \Delta KE =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (8) \times (6 )

 =  > \Delta KE =  24 \: joule

So final answer is :

∆KE = 24 Joule
