 = (1 + 2) {x}^{2} - (7 + 2)xy + (7 - 1) {y}^{2}

 = 3 {x}^{2} - 9xy + 6 {y}^{2}

b)

xy + yz + xa + ( - yz - zx - xy)

 = ( 1 - 1)xy - (1 - 1)yz + xa - zx

 = xa - zx

c)

 \frac{5}{8} {p}^{4} + 2 {p}^{2} + \frac{5}{8} + \frac{1}{8} + 17p + \frac{9}{8} \frac{p}{2}
 = \frac{5}{8} {p}^{4} + ( \frac{2}{1} + \frac{9}{8} ) {p}^{2} + 17p + ( \frac{5}{8} + \frac{1}{8} )

 = \frac{5}{8} {p}^{4} + ( \frac{16 + 9}{8} ){p}^{2} + 17p + (\frac{5 + 1}{8} )

 = \frac{5}{8} {p}^{4} + \frac{20}{8} {p}^{2} + 17p + \frac{6}{8}

 = \frac{5}{8} {p}^{4} + \frac{5}{2} {p}^{2} + 17p + \frac{3}{4}

d)

t - {t}^{2} - {t}^{3} - 14 + 15 {t}^{3 } + 13 + 9t + 8 \frac{t}{?} + 12 {t}^{2} - 19 + 24t + 4t - 9 {t}^{2} + 19 {t}^{3}

 = ( 1 + 9 - 24 + 4)t + ( - 1 - 8 + 12 - 9) {t}^{2} + (1 + 15 + 19) {t}^{3} + ( - 14 + 13 - 19)

 = - 10 t - 6 {t}^{2} + 35 {t}^{3} - 20
