HERE IS YOUR SOLUTION :

3x / 2 - 5y / 3 = -2

First , you have to take the L.C.M. of 2 and 3 i.e. 6

Then ,

3x × 3 / 2 × 3 - 5y × 2 / 3 × 2

= 9x - 10y / 6 = - 2

= 9x - 10y = - 12 ( EQUATION 1. )

x / 3 + y / 2 = 13 / 6

Taking L.C.M. we'll get 6.

So , x × 2 / 3 × 2 + y × 3 / 2 × 3 = 13 / 6

2x + 3y / 6 = 13 / 6

12x + 18y = 78 ( EQUATION 2. )

Now we'll solve the question by substitution method.

Solving equation 1 we get..

9x = - 12 + 10y

x = 10y - 12 / 9

Put the value of ' x ' in equation 2.

12 ( 10 y - 12 / 9 ) + 18y = 78

120y - 144 / 9 + 18y × 9 / 1 × 9 = 78

120y - 144 + 162y / 9 = 78

282y - 144 = 702

282y = 702 + 144

282y = 846

y = 846 / 282

y = 3

Put the value of ' y ' un Equation 2.

12x + 18y = 78

12x + 18 × 3 = 78

12x + 54 = 78

12x = 78 - 54

12x = 24

x = 2

Hence, the value of :

x is 2

y is 3
