 \frac{p}{q}  \:  =  \frac{p}{ - q}   \\  \frac{p}{q}  =  \frac{ - p}{q}  \\ pq \:  =  - pq \\ pq \:  + pq = 0 \\ 2pq = 0 \\
Here product of three numbers 2 , p and q are zero...
we know that 2 is not equal to zero .
so we must have either p = 0 or q = 0 Thus we have
P= 0.
