Answer:

option 2 : 2 calorie .

Explanation:

Assume that a current (I) flows through the circuit which further divides (I1) in lower side and (I2) in upper side of the circuit . Because the given combination is in parallel combination in which current divides.

As we know , H=I^2RT by Joule's laws of heating .

H/t=I^2R

Given : In 5ohm resistor heat produced per second is 10 calorie

10 = i1^2 ×5

i1=2 A.

Now , By Ohm's law we know that

= v=ir

= i1(5)=i2(4+6)

=i2=i1/2

=i2=1/2 A

so, heat produced per second through 4ohm resistor is

=>H/t=i2^2r

= (1/2)^2×4

=2 calorie

hope this helps you☺️☺️☺️

Solution:

Given:

➜ The heat flowing through the 5'Ω' resistance is 10 calorie.

Find:

➜ How much heat is following through the 4'Ω'

We know that:

➜ H = I² Rt

➜ H/t = I² R

s 'Ω' => resistor heat formed for a second = 10 calorie.

➜ 10 = I²₂ × 5

➜ I₂ = 2

➜ I₂ = √2 A

We know that:

➜ V = IR

➜ I₂ (S) = Ir (4 + 6)

➜ SI₂ = 10 I₂

➜ I₁ = 10 I₂ / 5

➜ I₂ = I₂ / 2 = √2 / 2 = 2 / √2 A

Heated formed for a second for 4'Ω' resistor is H/t = I²₂ R.

➜ (1/√2)² × 4 = 1/2 × 4

2 calorie.

Therefore, option (B) = 2 calorie is the answer.
