Note - We have created 2 more angles which are ∠y and ∠z
∴ 70° + ∠y = 180° 【∵Linear Pair】
⇒ ∠y = 180° - 70°
⇒ ∠y = 110°
∴ ∠z + 60° = 180° 【∵Linear Pair】
⇒ ∠z = 180° - 60°
⇒ ∠z = 120°
Note - "n" refers number of sides
∴ Sum of all ∠s = 180°(n - 2)
⇒∠A+∠B+∠C+∠D+∠E = 180°(n - 2)
⇒ ∠y + ∠z + x + 30° + x = 180°(5 - 2)
⇒ 110° + 120° + x + 30° + x = 180°(3)
⇒ 260° + 2x = 540°
⇒ 2x = 540° - 260°
⇒ 2x = 280°
⇒ x = 280° / 2
⇒ x = 140°
Hence,
∠E = x = 140°
∠C = x = 140°
