Hiiii friend,

5/X+1 - 2/X-Y = -1.........(1)

15/Y-1 + 10/X+1 = 5/2.......(2)

Let 1/X+1 = U and 1/Y-1 = V and put these valuee in equation (1) and (2) .

5U + 2V = 1/2

2(5U + 2V) = 1

10U + 4V = 1.......(3)

2/Y-1 + 10/X+1 = 5/2

2V + 10U = 5/2

2(2V +10U) = 5

4V +20U = 5......(4)

From equation (3) we get,

10U + 4V = 1

10U = 1-4V

U = 1-4V/10.......(5)

Putting the value of U in equation (4)

20U + 4V = 5

20 × (1-4V/10) +4V = 5

2(1-4V)+4V = 5

2 - 8V +4V = 5

-4V = 5-2

V = -3/4

Putting the value of V in equation (5)

U = 1-4V/10 = 1- 4 × -3/4 /10 = 1+3/10 = 4/10 = 2/5

Putting the value of U in,

1/X+1 = U

1/X+1 = 2/5

5 = 2(X+1)

5 = 2X+2

2X = 3

X = 3/2.

And,

1/Y-1 = V

1/Y-1 = -3/4

4 = -3(Y-1)

4 = -3Y +3

-3Y = 4-3

Y = -1/3.

Hence,

X = 3/2 and Y = -1/3.

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
