In this case, resistors are in parelell

total resistance = 1/R1 + 1/R2

= 1/6 +1/3

= 1 + 2/6

= 3/6

= 1/2

= 0.5

So total resistance in this circuit is 0.5 ohm

To find current

V = IR

4 = I × 6

i = 6/4

i = 3/2

i 1 = 1.5 Amperes

Now in second resistor

4 = i × 3

i = 3/4

i 2= 0.75 Amperes

Total current = 1.5+0.75

= 2.25 ampere

HOPE IT HELPS
