Given ::- 2f = 36 cm ∴ f = 18 cm

u = 27 cm

h = 2.5 cm

Solution ::-

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

1/v + 1/(-27) = 1/(-18)

1/v = 1/-18 + 1/27

1/v = 18 -27 / 54

1/v = - 9 /54

1/v = -1/6

v = -6 cm

Therefore , as the focal length is 18 cm, the image dist. is -6 , the screen has to be placed between the focal length and the pole of the mirror, that is near the mirror.
