there are many types but mainly 4 are there :-

1. MYOPIA :- also known as shortsightedness. In this eye defect a person is not able to see near off objects clearly. To correct this eye defect spectacles with convex lens are required.

2. HYPERMETROPIA :- in this eye defect a person is not able to see far off objects clearly. To cure this eye defect, spectacles with concave lens are required.

3. PRESBYOPIA :- in this eye defect eyes are neither able to see near objects nor far objects clearly. In this defect eyes become cloudy/hazy. To cure this eye defect spectacles with both convex and concave lens are required.

4. CATARACT :- this eye defect normally happens in old age. to cure this eye defect eye transplant is the only solution.
