Answer:

District 1 = Salesman A

District 2 = Salesman C

District 3 = Salesman B

District 4 = Salesman D

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly understand what is the question even asking. Because even I wrote an entire different answer which the question didn't ask for.

Here we go again..

The question here is asking that if a company has 4 salesman, and it has to assign each of them to 1 district each, then how should they assign the 4 salesman to receive maximum profit.

Now look at the given table, which shows how much will these 4 salesman will make in each district.

Now, look at the profit made in District 1 and mark out the maximum profit made.

Maximum profit made in District 1 = 16 , which is by salesman A

Similarly mark out the maximum profits in the rest:

Maximum profit made in District 2 = 15 , which is by salesman C

Maximum profit made in District 3 = 15 , which is by salesman B

Maximum profit made in District 4 = 15 , which is by salesman B & D

Since in the last district, 2 salesman make the maximum profit, we will chose the one who hasn't made any maximum profit in any district before, as salesman B is already making the maximum profit in District 3, and salesman D is making less in District 3, hence we will chose salesman D in district 4.

So the following assignment of salesman should be followed:

District 1 = Salesman A

District 2 = Salesman C

District 3 = Salesman B

District 4 = Salesman D

By using this assignment of salesman the company will make the maximum profit.

Hope it Helps :)
