Given : 3(2^x + 1) - 2^{x + 2} + 5 = 0

= \ \textgreater \ 3 * 2^x + 3 - 2^x * 2^2 + 5 = 0

= \ \textgreater \ 3 * 2^x + 3 - 2^x * 4 + 5 = 0

=\ \textgreater \ - 2^x + 3 + 5 = 0

= \ \textgreater \ -2^x + 8 = 0

= \ \textgreater \ -2^x = -8

= \ \textgreater \ -2^x = -2^3

= \ \textgreater \ x = 3

Therefore the value of x = 3.

Hope this helps!
