symbol represents an element with atomic no. 7 and mass no. 14.

since its atomic no is 7 its electronic configuration is 2, 5 (1s2 2s2 2p3)

its outermost shell has 5 electrons and it needs 3 more electrons to fulfill its outermost shell..hence its valency is 3

its atomic no is 7

hence no of protons= no of electrons= 7

its mass no is 14

hence no of neutrons=mass no - atomic no.

no of neutrons = 14 - 7 = 7

An element with atomic no 7 and mass no 14 is Nitrogen....
