Let Edge=x

Surface Area

=6a²

=6×x²

=6x²

Surface Area=6x² unit²

Volume

=a³

=x³

Volume=x³ unit³

Now If Edge doubled

Edge Now=2x

(1)Surface Area=6a²

=6×(2x)²

=6×4x²

=24x²

Surface Area=24 x² unit ²

Now.

Surface Area of x=6x²

Surface Area of 2x=24x²

Surface Area Increase=24x²/6x²

=4 times

(2)Volume=a³

=(2x)³

=8x³

Volume=8x³ unit³

Now

Volume of x=x³

Volume of 2x=8x³

Volume Increase=8x³/x³

=8 times

\boxed{\mathbf{Surface\: Area \:Increase=4\:times}}

\boxed{\mathbf{Volume\: Increase=8 \:times}}
