Model= 2cones at end and a cylinder in centre

For cones,

d = 70cm

r = 35 cm

h1 = 20cm

For cylinder,

d= 70cm

r = 35cm

h2 = 100-20-20=60cm

Volume of air in model =

Volume of cylinder + 2(Volume of cone)

=

\pi {r}^{2} h2 + 2( \frac{1}{3} \pi  {r}^{2} h1)

= 22/7*35*35*60+2(1/3*22/7*35*35*20)

=110*210+2(110*700)

=23100+2*77000

=23100+154000

=177100

=17.71*10'4 sq. cm

Answer:

Volume of air in the model made by Michel = 17.71*10'4sq.cm
