area of circle so: r = d/2 = 16/2 =8m

= pi ×r2
=3.14×8×8
200.96m2
area of shaded region = area of sq. - area of circle
= 256 m2-200.96m2
=55.04m2
2.) area of sq. = 256m2
radius of four circles ina line is 16 m
so , r of 1 circle =16/4=4m so r =4/2=2m


area =pi × r2
= 3.14×2×2 = 12.56

area of 16 circles =12.56 ×16=200.96

area of unshaded region = area of sq. - area of circle
256 m2-200.96m2= 55.04m2

hence both has same area ( unshaded region)
