Hey mate here is your answer.....
x^2 +y^2 -2x +4y +5=0
=>x^2-2x +1+y^2+4y+4=0
=>(x-1)^2+(y+2)^2=0
Now we know that if the sum of two perfect
squares is 0 , then they are individually 0.
so, x-1=0
=>x=1
And, y+2=0
=>y=-2.
so, the value of x is 1 and that of y is -2.
