Step-by-step explanation:

Solution :-

From the given figure,

∆DCB is a right angled triangle

∠C = 90°

∠CBD = 45°

CD = 45 cm

Now,

We know that

tan θ = Opposite side to θ / Adjacent side to θ

now,∠CBD = θ = 45°

=> tan 45° = CD / BC

=> 1 = 45/BC

=> 1×BC = 45

=> BC = 45 cm

and , ∆ DCA is a right angled triangle

∠ CAD = 30°

Let AB = x cm

We know that

tan θ = Opposite side to θ / Adjacent side to θ

Now, ∠ CAD = θ = 30°

=> tan 30° = CD / AC

=> tan 30° = CD/ (AB+BC)

=> 1/√3 = 45 / (x+45)

On applying cross multiplication then

=> 1×(x+45) = 45× √3

=> x + 45 = 45√3

=> x = 45√3-45

=> x = 45(√3-1) cm

or

We know that √3 = 1.732

=> x = 45(1.732-1)

=> x = 45(0.732)

=> x = 32.94 cm

Therefore, AB = 45(√3-1) cm or

32.94 cm

Answer :-

The length of AB is 45(√3-1) cm or 32.94 cm

Used formulae:-

tan θ = Opposite side to θ / Adjacent side to θ

√3 = 1.732
