Volume of initial cuboid having dimensions

1cm × 5cm × 9cm

will be:-

1 × 5 × 9

= 45 cubic cm.

The cuboid is melted and reshaped in another cuboid so volume will be equal of both cuboids.

Given that breath of final cuboid = 5cm .

And length and height of the final cuboid are equal .

So,

volume \:  of \:  final  \\ \: cuboid \:  = l \:  \times  \: b \:  \times h \\  = l \times 5 \:  \times l

As, length and height are is equal

Also ,

volume = 45 cubic cm.

i.e.

5 {l}^{2}  = 45 \\  \implies {l}^{2}  =  \frac{45}{5}  = 9\\  \implies \: l =  \sqrt{9}  = 3cm

so, length and height of the final cuboid will be

length and height of the final cuboid will be 3cm.
