Answer :-

  • Zeroes of the polynomial are -3 and -6 respectively.

Given :-

  • A quadratic polynomial x² + 9x + 18.

To Find :-

  • Zeroes of the polynomial.

Solution :-

Here

  • A quadratic equation is x² + 9x + 18

Let's split the middle term

  • x² + 6x + 3x + 18

Take common

  • x (x + 6) + 3 (x + 6)

Write together

  • (x + 3) (x + 6)

Equate each with zero

⇒ x + 3 = 0

⇒ x = -3

______________

⇒ x + 6 = 0

⇒ x = -6

Hence, the zeroes of the polynomial are -3 and -6 respectively.
