\mathcal{\huge{\underline{\underline {\red{Question ?}}}}}

What value of P will be following pair of linear equations have infinite solutions2x-3y=7

(p+1)x+(1-2p)y=(5p-4)

\mathcal{\huge{\underline{\underline {\green{Answer:-}}}}}

☑ The value of p is 5.

\mathcal{\huge{\underline{\underline {\pink{Solution:-}}}}}

Given , 2x-3y = 7 ______ (1)

(p+1) x + (1-2p) y = 5k - 4 ______ (2)

Here a1 =2,b1 =−3,c1 =7

a2 =p+1,b 2 =1−2p,c3 =5k−4

Since equations (1) and (2) have infinite solutions

 =  \frac{a1}{a2}  =  \frac{b1}{b2}  =  \frac{c1}{c2}

 =  \frac{2}{p + 1}  =  \frac{ - 3}{1 - 2p}  =  \frac{7}{5p  - 4}

so \:  \frac{2}{p + 1}  =  \frac{3}{1 - 2p}

⇒2(1−2p)=−3(p+1)

⇒2−4p=−3p−3

⇒2+3=−3p+4p

⇒p=5
