1)

PQ=4cm

QR=6cm

RS=5cm

PS=5.5cm

PR=7cm

Firstly, we will draw a rough sketch ,

PR is diagonal

Now Steps for Construction:

Step 1: Draw a line PR as diagonal (PR = 7cm)

Step 2: Draw an arc 4cm top of the PR and  P as center.

Step 3: Taking 6cm and mark arc top of the PR named Q.

Step 4: Draw an arc 5.5 cm bottom of the PR and  P as center.

Step 5: Taking 5cm and mark arc below of the PR named S.

∴ PQRS is required quadrilateral.

2)

Construct a rhombus ABCD where AB = 6.8 cm using scale

Now, steps for construction

Step 1 : Draw a line segment.

Step 2 : A as centre and 7.5 cm as radius draw an arc.

Step 3 : Similarly, B as centre and 6.8 cm as radius draw an arc which cuts the before arc at C.

Step 4 : join AC and DC.

Step 5 : Draw Parallel line with BC through point A such that AX || BC.

Step 6 : Also draw parallel line with AB through point C such that CY || AB.

Step 7 : Line AX and CY intersect at D.

3)

Construct a rhombus ABCD where AB = 6.6 cm using scale

Now, steps for construction

Step 1 : Draw a line segment.

Step 2 : A as centre and 8 cm as radius draw an arc.

Step 3 : Similarly, B as centre and 6.6 cm as radius draw an arc which cuts the before arc at C.

Step 4 : join AC and DC.

Step 5 : Draw Parallel line with BC through point A such that AX || BC.

Step 6 : Also draw parallel line with AB through point C such that CY || AB.

Step 7 : Line AX and CY intersect at D.

4)

Steps of construction:

1) Draw AC = 8 cm

2) Draw the perpendicular bisector of AC to locate the mid-point of AC. Let the perpendicular bisector intersect AC at point O. Therefore, O is the mid-point of AC.

3) Through O, construct a line POQ so that angle POC = 60 degree

4) From OP, cut OD = OC = 4 cm and from OQ, cut OB = OA = 4 cm

5) Join AB, BC, CD and DA

Then, ABCD is the required rectangle as follows:

5) ❓

6)

Step 1 : draw a line BE=2.9cm

Step 2 : construct angle B =75 degree.

Step 3 : draw an arc of 3.4cm as T from B.from E

Step 4 : draw arc of 3.2cm and from T draw an arc of 2.7cm as S

7)

Step 1 : Draw a line segment AB = cm.

Step 2 : draw an arc using compass taking A as centre & radius = 7cm

Step 3 : Draw an arc using compass taking B as centre & radius = 8 cm such that it intersect arc drawn.

Step 4 : Join AO & BO & extend AO till C such that AO = OC & extend BO till D such that BO = OD

Step 5 : join AD & CD & BC.
