Please someone tells me that........ if In an organic compound the ratio of masses C, H and n are 9 :1 :3.5 and Molecular mass of compound is 108 then what will be the empirical formula and the molecular formula of compound ​

Explanation:

Mass of 1mole of compound is 108g

let the mass of carbon in 1 mole of compound is 9x

Mass of hydrogen in 1mole of compound is x

Mass of nitrogen in 1mole of compound is 3.5x

therefore, total mass will be 9x+x+3.5x=13.5x

According to the question.....

13.5x=108------ x=108/13.5=8

mass of carbon 9x=72=12(6)

mass of hydrogen x=8 = 1(8)

mass of nitrogen 3.5x=28= 14(2)

molar mass of C,H,n=12, 1,14

therefore their are 6molecule C,H,n

molecular mass = C6H8n2
