(a) circumference of semicircle =πr

= 22/7 ×2.8/2 ( r =diameter/2)

= 22×0.2

=4.4 cm

total = 4.4 +28

= 7.2 cm

(b) circumference of semicircle = 4.4 cm

total = 4.4+1.5+2.8+1.5

= 10.5 cm

(c) circumference of semicircle = 4.4 cm

total = 4.4+2+2 cm

= 8.4 cm

in 10.2 that is in the figure second no he will have to travel more as it is largest among all

Solutions :-

Given :
a) Diameter = d = 2.8 m

Circumference of semicircle = ½πd + d
= ½× 22/7 × 2.8 + 2.8
= 4.4 + 2.8
= 7.2m

b) Length = 2.8 m
Breadth = 1.5 m

Circumference = (2 × Breadth) + length + 4.4
= 2 × 1.5 + 2.8 + 4.4
= 10.2 m

c) Length of same side = 2 cm


Circumference = (2 + 2 + 4.4)
= 8.4 m

Hence,
For circumference of 10.2 m of food piece would the ant have to take a longer time.
