the ratio between the volumes of the reactant gases and the gaseous product can be expressed in the simple whole numbers

this law is known as gay- lussac's law

hope this helps you

AruDon: not so easy and simple
cuttee: yeah but then it may not be ok for boards
AruDon: It states that under similiar conditions of temperature and pressure, whenever gases react together, the volume of the reacting gases as well as the products bear simple whole number ratio.
AruDon: how is that?

When gases react they do so in volumes which bears a simple whole number ratio to one another and to the volumes of the products, if gaseous, provided the temperature and pressure of the reacting gases and their products remain constant.
