Stories are standard and recognizable patterns, where we we find meaning. They play a vital role in the growth and development of children.

They are important because the books the children read and the characters they get to know can become like their friends. It's also good for children to understand that books are a useful source of information and that good reading skills are very much important for thier future well-being.

I like Arabian nights. These are collection of one thousand and one nights stories of middle eastern folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age.
