The commission landed in Bombay in Feb.1928...On that day ,a countrywide strike was organised and mass rallies were held...wherever the commision went , there were black flag demonstrations ,hartal and slogans of ' Simon go back'......

◆◆ Poona Pact gave depressed Classes reserved seats in provincial and central legislative councils but they were to be voted in by the general elections.....Ambedkar ultimately accepted Gandhiji's position and the results was a Poona Pact of Sept.1932........
