Answer:

 \frac{1 -  { \tan( \alpha ) }^{2} }{1 -  { \cot( \alpha ) }^{2} }

 \frac{ \frac{ { \cos( \alpha )  }^{2}  -  { \sin( \alpha ) }^{2} }{ { \cos( \alpha ) }^{2} } }{ \frac{ { \sin( \alpha ) }^{2}  -  { \cos( \alpha ) }^{2} }{ { \sin( \alpha ) }^{2} } }

 \frac{ \frac{ \cos( \alpha ) -  \sin( \alpha )  }{ { \cos( \alpha ) }^{2} } }{ \frac{ \sin( \alpha ) -  \cos( \alpha )  }{ { \sin( \alpha ) }^{2} } }

 \frac{ \frac{ \cos( \alpha )  -  \sin( \alpha ) }{ { \cos( \alpha ) }^{2} } }{ -  \frac{ \cos( \alpha )  -  \sin( \alpha ) }{ { \sin( \alpha ) }^{2} } }

 -  \frac{ { \sin( \alpha ) }^{2} }{ { \cos( \alpha ) }^{2} }

 -  { \tan( \alpha ) }^{2}

I think, the RHS would be -tan.^2(α)

or, the question is wrong. I have used α but we can use theta also
