area of triangle = 1/2( base × altitude)
48cm^2=1/2 × base × 16
48= base × 8
48/8 = base
base = 6 cm

plz mark as brainiest answer.

Answer : Base = 6 cm

Explanation -

Changing dm^2 into cm^2

1 dm^2 = 100 cm^2

0.48 dm^2 = 0.48 x 100

0.48 dm^2 = 48 cm^2

Area of triangle = 48 cm^2

Finding the base -

Given : Area = 48 cm^2

Area of the triangle = 1/2 (base x height)

48 cm^2 = 1/2 (base x 16 cm)

48 cm^2 = base x 8 cm

base = 48/8

Base = 6 cm

Verified :-

1/2 (base x height) = Area of the triangle

1/2 (6 x 16) = 48

48 cm = 48 cm

Hence :

Base = 6 cm

sreelekhaRath: area of triangle is not base×height
PADMINI: corrected.
