NSO cut off for level 1 is 5%.

They are assorted in the order of M3, M2, and M1.

They qualify for the second stage if the class wise top 5% is of level 1 exam or the top 25 rankers in each class/zone or in school where students score at least 50% marks.

Level 2 exams depends solely on the marks obtained in level 2 exam, marks scored in level 1 exam and anything which has a higher priority.

In case students have the same rank, they have to be awarded the same rank.
