ans2. Development refers to progress or improvement in life style. Important aspects of development are :
(i) Different persons can have different developmental goals.
(ii) What may be development for one may not be development for the other.

ans 3. Money is often defined in terms of the three functions or services that it provides. Money serves as a medium of exchange, as a store of value, and as a unit of account. Medium of exchange. Money's most important function is as a medium of exchange to facilitate transactions.

ans 4. Grameen Bank. The Grameen Bank is a microfinance organisation and community development bank founded in Bangladesh. It makes small loans (known as microcredit or "grameencredit") to the impoverished without requiring collateral.

ans5. The World Development Report, 2012, brought out by the World Bank has given the following criterion in classifying countries-

Rich or High income countries- Countries with the per capita income of US $1216 per annum and above in 2012, are called rich countries.

Poor or Low income countries- The countries with the per capita income of US $1035 or less, are called low income countries.
India comes in the category of low middle income countries because its per capita income in 2012 was just US $1530 per annum. The rich countries, excluding countries of Middle east and other small countries, are generally called the developed countries.

Limitations-
1. It covers only the economic aspect ignoring peace, health, environment, education, longevity ,etc.
2.This method does not give information regarding the distribution of income.

1. Opening up industries in rural areas. Example - the Tata plant in West Bengal would have provided employment to hundreds of villagers.

2. Increasing construction work in rural areas. Making proper dwellings, the facilities that are required by people living in rural areas is essential. This will not only improve their quality of life but also provide them with employment.

3. Employing people from rural areas in facilities created in Example 2. This could be all sorts of employment, like clerks, teachers, peons, compounder etc.

4. Improving the agriculture sector. Be it improvement of irrigation facilities or use of modern machines, improving the quality of the agriculture sector would increase productivity and more number of people to complete the various processes.
