Transfer of pollen grains from male part i.e. anther to stigma of other flower or same species of the flower is known as pollination.

Pollination is the process by which the pollen grains are transferred into the stigma of the flower for the process of fertilization to take place

2)cross pollination

SELF POLLINATION

the transfer of pollen grain from anther to stigma in the same flower   is called as self pollination

the transfer of pollen grains from one flower to different flower of same species with the help of external agents like  wind , insects etc is called cross pollination
