AC=AD

name two angles as 1&2

then angle 1=angle2

AB common

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Question :-

From the given figure prove that ∆ABC is congruent to ∆ABD and BC = AD

Correct Question:-

From the given figure prove that ∆ABC is congruent to ∆ABD and BC = BD

Proof:-

From the given figure ,

ABCD is a quadrilateral

AB divides it into two parts

From the triangles , ∆ABC and ∆ABD

AC = AD (Given)

angle BAC = angle BAD (Given)

AB = AB (Common side)

Therefore, ∆ABC is Congruent to ∆ABD

∆ABC =~ ∆ABD by SAS Property

=>BC = BD (Congruent parts in a congruent triangles)

Hence , Proved

Used formulae:-

  • SAS property:-

"The two sides and included angle of one triangle are equal to the two sides and included angle then the two triangles are Congruent and this property is called SAS Property (Side -Angle-Side)
