Dear friend,

 \frac{2x - 1}{3} - \frac{6x - 2}{5} = \frac{1}{3}

 \frac{5(2x - 1) - 3(6x - 2)}{15} = \frac{1}{3}

 \frac{10x - 5 - 18x + 6}{15} = \frac{1}{3}

 \frac{1 - 8x}{15} = \frac{1}{3}

3(1 - 8x) = 15

3 - 24x = 15

 - 24x = 15 - 3

x = - 2

Answer. x is -2.

Hope it helps !!!

afsanakasmani: but your answer is wrong....
AritraK: How ?
afsanakasmani: x= 12/-24 = 1/-2
sanjaindia1104p3420l: bhai tum dono ka -2 aa raha hai matlab Sahi hai dono ka

[(10x-5) - (18x-6)] /15 = 1/3

3[(10x-5) - (18x-6)] = 15

30x - 15 - 54x - 18 = 15
- 24x - 33 = 15
-24x= 15+33
-24x = 48
X= 48/-24
X= -2

X= -2 is kept in the equation....
- 24x - 33 = 15
-24(-2) - 33 =15
48 - 33 =15
15 = 15
LHS = RHS

this is your answer....
I hope it will help you.....
