Answer:

The following diagram is of a villus present in small intestine.

(i) labeling of the diagram is as follows:

  1. epithelium- only one layer of simple columnar epithelium.
  2. Blood capillary - absorbs glucose and amino acids
  3. Lacteal (tiny lymphatic vessel) - for absorption of fatty acid and glycerol
  4. Artery

(ii) Two adaptation in villus present in small intestine :

  1. Presence of lacteals for absorption of fatty acid and glycerol
  2. Presence of brush border columnar epithelium for increasing the surface are for rapid absorption process.

(iii) pigments that are responsible for the color of bile:

  1. Bilurubin
  2. Biliverdin

They both are secreted in liver. These pigments are also responsible for the colour of our faeces.

(iv) Emulsification:

This is a process where fat are broken down in smaller parts for increasing its surface area for easier absorption. This breaking down in done with the help of bile.

further digestion of fat is done my enzymes secreted by pancreas — lipases.
