Let, angle b and c = x

Now, 40° + angle b + angle c = 180°

40° + x + x = 180°

2x = 180° - 40°

2x = 140°

Then x = 140°÷2

= 70°

So, angle b and c = 70°

[ therefore, 70°+ 70° + 40° = 180°]
