In mature leaves of brinjal and chilli, the venation is reticulate with dif- ferent categories of veins--primary or midrib, secondary, tertiary, quater- nary and free vein endings. Areoles are formed by different categories of veins. The primary, secondary and tertiary veins are multiseriate.
