please tell why water comes from eyes when we chop or cut onion .

when we cut or chop onion then few enzymes and amino acid sulfoxide is released. they both react with each other and form synpropenthial s oxide . synpropenthial s oxide is very volatile so it changes in gas form very easily . when it reaches our eye then it react with the substance that keep our eyes lubricated and form mild sulfuric acid wich causes burning sensation in our eye . in order to wash this acid lacrimal gland produces water which falls down in form of tear .
