Question find the following angles ,

  • Angle BCA , Angle DCE , Angle DEG , Angle CDE

Solution :

Firstly we can see that angle 130° + angle BAC form linear pair so ,

  • 130 + angle BAC = 180
  • Angle BAC = 180 - 130
  • Angle BAC = 50

Now in triangle ABC by angle sum property ,

  • 50 + 75 + Angle BCA = 180
  • Angle BCA = 180 - 125
  • Angle BCA = 55

We can see that Angle BCA is vertically opposite to Angle DCE So ,

  • Angle BCA = Angle DCE = 55

Angle ABC and Angle CDE form alternate interior angles thus they are equal ,

  • Angle CDE = Angle ABC = 75

Now by angle sum property in triangle CDE ,

  • 55 + 75 + Angle DEC = 180
  • Angle DEC = 180 - 130
  • Angle DEC = 50

Angle DEC and Angle DEG form a linear pair thus ,

  • Angle DEC + Angle DEG = 180
  • 50 + Angle DEG = 180
  • Angle DEG = 130
