How to know whether a person is secular or sickular? (for those who have been living under the rock for past few years, it means people with misplaced sense of secularism) If we ourselves could be one of the two.

People with a misplaced sense of secularism are refered to as 'sickular' in the social media parlance. The term is often used for people who use different yardstick for measuring similar situation when Muslims or Christians are involved.
