girl face period due to puberty.
Every month when the ovum comes to the uterus it wait s for the fertilization (to fuse with sperm) to form zygote but at a certain time when it is no getting fertilized then it degenerates and it expelled from uterus through the vaginal opening along with blood capillaries and tissue . While moving through the uterus ovum ruptures the inner lining of uterus which consists of blood capillaries and tissue. This is why bleeding occurs during period and it is also the reason why girls face period.
In case of boy menstural cycle doesn't occur but there is a secretion of semen from penis during a very short period. It is known as night fall.
It is a nocturnal emission.
