a)The number of pi electrons in the structure is 6 (2 from each double bond so 4 plus the 2 electrons from charge of the compound so 6)
6 can be written as 2(2)+2. so it is of the form 2n+2
therefore it is aromatic.
b) i) substitution reaction is adding halogen to all and in presence of sunlight or uv light to get alkyl halide.
ii) addition reaction is adding hydrogen to unsaturated alkene or alkyne to get alkane in presence of catalyst like nickel or palladium.
vanaspathi ghee is done like this.
c) ethyne is acidic in nature because the carbon atom with triple bond has a sp hybridization. so percentage s character is largest (50%). so we know that is percentage of s character is more then it is more electronegative . hence it is acidic in nature.
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
