Answer:

It supplies life on earth with energy, harnessed from the sun.

Explanation:

The sun releases a lot of energy through constant nuclear reactions (the fusion of hydrogen). Plants have the ability to use the light energy it releases to produce glucose which they can then store and use. This stored glucose (stored as starch due to it being insoluble) is then consumed by the next organism in the food chain. This could be a herbivore (like a rabbit eating some grass), a microorganisms (like yeast fermenting glucose in the beer industry) or an omnivore (a human eating some mashed potato).

The energy from the sun is passed down the food chain (sun - plant - herbivore - carnivore/omnivore) supplying the whole food chain and earth with energy.

Hope this helps:)

Explanation:

Photosynthesis are needed for the survival of plants and animals on the earth as the animals are heterotrophs they take the food from the Autotrophs that are plants and live so it is necessary to have photosynthesis on earth.

The existence is of of human beings is not possible on the earth without photosynthesis of plants.Life is not possible without photosynthesis on earth because the heterotrophs take the food from the autotrophs eat and then they grow in this way without photosynthesis it is not possible to have life on earth .Human beings plants and animals which not possible oxygen is the main source of life on earth without oxygen the life is not possible if plants do not have the photosynthesis system living beings not in health carbon dioxide and give out oxygen because oxygen is very necessary for our survival on the Earth if oxygen is not there it is because of the photosynthesis if it is not that the life is not possible on the earth
