area of triangle =1/2 × (x+10) × 2x

                          =x²+10

From adding the areas of the rectangle and the triangle  , we get the  area of the polygon.

    =(x²+22x +120) + (x²+10)    

     = 2x² + 22x + 130

Therefore, the area of the polygon is 2x² + 22x + 130.
