Answer:

The answer is 1

Given,

p(x) = x^2 - 3ax + 3a - 7

If (x + 1) is the factor of p(x) the the value of p(x) = 0, at x = -1

Therefore,

p(-1) = (-1)^2 - 3a(-1) + 3a - 7

=> 0 = 1 + 3a + 3a - 7

=> 0 = -6 + 6a

=> 0 + 6 = 6a

=> 6 = 6a

=> 6/6 = a

=> 1 = a

Therefore the answer is 1
