A huge amount of domestic sewage is first treated and then released into the water body because if the sewage is untreated then it would cause water pollution as the effluents will be untreated and harmful but if the waste is treated then it would not cause much loss to the water and also the aquatic lives because the effluents of the waste is treated and the waste is no more harmful.

The village people are doing a wrong thing because the waste that they have added in the water will cause water pollution and will result a bad effect on aquatic lives.

hope it helps...

The sewage treatment plants are set up in city because there is a big population in the city which produces much more amount of sewage water than a small village.
So in cities, the sewage water is treated well before releasing into a nearby flowing water body in order to minimize the level of water pollution .....
